Digital Desire Studio News - 10-03-2008

We’ve really been shooting it up here at the Ranch lately (to say the least).

Mark, Charles and I, all armed with the finest digital cameras money can buy, have been taking our shots at a variety of beautiful young girls out here on the north forty including our amazing new find Lindsay Marie.



These days, between running this company, raising two kids, coaching soccer, mountain biking, surfing and trying to keep my wife happy (man, that’s a laundry list) I don’t get that many days to actually run a camera myself.

Plus with such talented associate photographers as Mark and Charles it just doesn’t make much since for me to do to much shooting. So generally when I shoot it’s for one or two simple reasons. Either I really want to or I have to.

There are the occasional clients or models who insist I shoot (silly, cause Mark and Charles can totally fulfill there needs with there great images), and there are the occasional girls that I insist I shoot. That’s not to hard to understand, right? After all I still love taking pictures (even more than ever with digital technology) and I still really get motivated by the occasional standout beauty.



All this said, I wasn’t gonna miss my chance behind the lens this week with my viewfinder aimed at the lovely Lindsay Marie. She’d come by the week before for an interview and test shots and Mark and I were both smitten with her beauty, style and intelligence. I knew as soon as she left I wouldn’t miss my chance to photograph her.



My day with Lindsay was about as good as it gets. With her gorgeous face, killer body and stellar work ethic it was the kind of day that makes my job the best job in the world.
Mark shot her the following day and we’re still talking about how great it was to photograph her.



At one point I said to Lindsay, “Lets just have you come everyday from now on and we’ll only shoot you”. Damn, I wish they were all as good as her. But I suppose that wouldn’t be fair—it would just be too easy. Like Mark said this morning, “Hell, if they were all like her then we wouldn’t appreciate how special she was, not to mention we really wouldn’t need to be that good to get great images.”




But when you look at her photos just remember that the reality of this girl is even better than the imagery--and that's saying something. We all had a great day working together thanks to Lindsay and of course my great crew!
