Living the Dream

As I sit in my mothers computer room two thousand miles away from the digitaldesire office I call home, I am reminded of the beauty of the internet. How all of us living in unique and beautiful places around the globe can share a common interest, chat about it in blogs, and anticipate the exciting additions to come, together.

Before leaving California for an adventure in my home state, many of my friends questioned me about the state of economy in Michigan, how my friends and family were getting by, and the overall mood of the great lakes state. I am happy to report that even amongst massive layoffs by the big three and the closure of so many job shops that supply the auto industry, people are remaining positive. Piston fans are already gearing up for the 2009 season.

Two of my friend who were let go from their jobs told me how now they are pursuing careers revolving around their hobbies. My best friend Randy has become a pro bass fisherman and is designing lures and my friend Big Rob has become a Master Gardener. Rob says he gets phone calls now from women who are friends of friends, asking him questions about their flowers. I have never seen the two of them happier. I guess desperate times can also make dreams come true.

But the best part of returning home is visiting friends who are also digitaldesire members and fielding all those questions about what it is like to be a part of a team that publishes the most beautiful images of women on the web. I tell them how blessed I am to be surrounded by a team of guys who are the very best at what they do and how their strengths have made me stronger and better at what I do.

Suddenly I am reminded how I have been living my dream since walking into Stephen's studio three years ago. A dream that I hope is a forever recurring one.

Here is a mid-west girl that was in my dreams last night after a fun text conversation with her that went on for hours.
