No matter what your reality sometimes it’s just good to ‘get out of Dodge’.




I’ve got a great life back home—a loving wife and family, a talented and committed staff at the Ranch, and of course a job I truly enjoy.

But indeed, sometimes I’ve just got to get away—you know, go somewhere else and just have a completely different routine—the pause that refreshes (hopefully).

I’ve just returned from a 3 day mountain biking trip to Gooseberry Mesa in Utah and I’m shifting carefully in my chair as the wounds of my journey have left me with sore ribs, neck, and shoulders and a few ugly bruises.



The first day of our ride I came slowly off a small jump and somehow did a 15 foot nose wheelie before plowing into a sturdy pine tree that blocked my path to a 1000 ft. cliff. I did a complete flip-endo about 10 minutes later and for the remainder of the trip I was cautiously clinging to my ‘health mortality’.





In any case the change of venue was remarkably refreshing—insanely beautiful desert terrain, and hysterical laughter with four of my best buddies. Now it’s great to be back with my homeboys shooting more amazing young girls as summer approaches.
