It Is My Fantasy

This past weekend I was hanging out at the race track with a female friend of mine. I thought I knew her quite well until she popped the question. She asked, “How do I aquire Adrien Peterson for my fantasy football team?” For the first time in what seemed like forever I was speechless and if I wasn't already involved I would have fallen in love.

Now Katie and I have been friends for some time—much longer than the length of my current relationship so if I wanted to fall for her it would have happened ages ago. So why did her question fire me up? I believe it was because she played into a fantasy of my own. Not just a girl who would sit by my side when the big boys took the field but one who understood what I meant when I said my starting quarterback did not meet his projected point total yet. Oh, and she would be wearing a Houston Texan cheerleader uniform too but that is secondary.

We all have them and sometimes they are fulfilled by our girlfriends or wives but where do they originate? I started to research this thought and read a few different psychologigal studies that mentioned childhood and family along with early memories and WOAH! Those doctors may be right but do they have to take the fun out of it? I want my very own cheerleader who understood football and that's it. When my girl took me to the yoga studio and the instructor came out in this coordinated little two piece thing and after a few stretches I began to notice that bottoms she was wearing start to ride up her little.....WOAH again. I'm keeping this one to myself.
